Brief info
I am a biochemist by training with research expertise in structural biology and its application to translational science. Over the course of my career, I have specialized in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), X-ray crystallography, and cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) to study structures of viral proteins and toxins, enabling structure-guided design of vaccines and small-molecule inhibitors. To date, my work has resulted in 60 structures (PDB) and 243 electron microscopy maps (EMDB), contributing to 47 peer-reviewed publications. I started as an Assistant Professor at EPFL in July 2022, where I lead the Laboratory of Virology and Structural Immunology (LVSI) within the Global Health Institute. Our research focuses on understanding, modelling, and engineering antibody-mediated immunity to viruses and vaccines.
